My name is Medea Gravelle and I work as a freelance consultant under the name 'MGcoast'. MGcoast was launched in April 2006 and has undertaken a variety of contracts since its formation, including the design of several coastal and educational web sites, as well as background work and report production for 3 of the Shoreline Management Plan reviews currently being undertaken in the South West.

For over 6 years I co-ordinated the running and development of the Dorset Coast Forum. This entailed managing the day to day business, consultation and delivery of Forum policy direction, formation and scoping of partnership projects together with the planning and overseeing of large scale conferences and workshops.

Prior to this, I was employed by the Forum through the EU Demonstration Programme in Coastal Zone Management, to produce a Coastal Strategy for Dorset.

As a qualified coastal engineer, I started my career in West Dorset where I worked as an engineering technician on West Dorset District Council's West Bay and Lyme Regis coastal defence schemes.
